About The Tournament Weekend
Join us for our 6th trip in the last 8 months to Las Vegas for the Cool Evening Classic II tournament, and 10th total Las Vegas tournament! Nobody does Vegas tournament like the Soccer Resort. The tournament is played on Friday March 6 from 5:30pm into the evening and at the same time again on Saturday March 7.
Thankfully the cool desert nights make for a great environment for late night soccer. We’ve always had such an incredible time during our Las Vegas tournaments that we’ve decided that instead of going once a year we’d go at least twice instead, with the original Cool Evening Classic tournament to be held at its regular date in late August.
For four days, and three nights at the Paris hotel, plus happy hours, transportation to the tournament (no need to rent a car), and Soccer Resort tournament jerseys, prices start at $260. Read on!
The Soccer Resort is extremely excited to have local teams join our national series of tournaments. Play, yell, compete, or shake hands against teams from all over the U.S., Canada, Europe, and overseas – after-all it’s nice to play against some new teams. And if you win a top or consolation division, you’ll win up to $1000 of credit towards one of our travel tournaments, such as Costa Rica, Miami South Beach, Hawaii, Iceland, Ireland, or London.

Soccer Tournament Details
We expect a large turn out again in 2009 with teams from many leagues across the United States and Canada joining us. We also expect a European contingent, going on prior experience.
The location of the tournament is the Bermuda grass fields of Summerlin. On the soccer side you get:
- 6v6 soccer against classy opposition
- Five games guaranteed over two days
- 30 minutes per game
- Complimentary souvenir jerseys for travel teams
- Complimentary bus to the tournament
- Soccer travel prizes galore
- Trophies for the winners and medals for the runners-up
- There will be two Coed divisions with 3 men and 3 women on each team. You can have more women, but not more men.
- There will be five Men’s divisions – Men’s OPEN, Men’s B, Men’s Over 30’s Men's Over 40's, and Masters (Over 50)
- There will be three Women’s divisions – Women’s A, Women’s B and Women’s Over 30’s.

Bear in mind, the fields are grassy in March, but a dormant yellow grass (Bermuda doesn't grown below 68 degrees, we're told!)

Sample Itinerary
Thursday – Arrive, unpack (or don’t) and either take a relaxing day at the pool or jump right into everything Las Vegas has to offer.
Friday – Take a trip to the casino floor or to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Approx 3:30pm: Tournament bus will take your teams to the fields.
Approx 5:00pm: After a warm-up, and registration, your games begin.
Approx 9/10pm: Tournament bus brings you back to your hotel.
Approx: Midnight: Get-together at the tournament hotel bar to wind down or jump start the rest of your night.
Saturday – Recover from late night fun with drinks by the pool or a trip to the spa.
Approx 10:30pm: Tournament bus will take your teams to the fields.
Approx 12:00pm: The games resume - will you make the playoffs?
Approx 5pm: Tournament bus arrives, and brings you home
Approx 8pm: THE AWARDS PARTY - Don't miss it!
Approx 10pm: Another night in Vegas, need we say more?
Sunday - Day of rest, day of travel, day of fun, or a day of confession? - your choice!

Tournament Prizes
Soccer Resort is not only a vacation weekend - but winners, and runners-up in the top divisions and lower level consolation cups always get Soccer Resort Bucks as a prize. This is not actual money, but more like a credit or a discount on hotel and tournament packages for your next Travel tournament. We don’t pretend it's like winning the lottery, but many of our teams appreciate that we are making further trips cheaper. These prizes are for travel to most but not all tournaments. More info

Tournament Hotel for Weekend
For this tournament we offer two hotels, both centrally located on the Vegas strip; the four star luxurious Paris Las Vegas and the slightly more inexpensive but classically elegant Bally’s. Both hotels feature their own casino, pool, spa, shopping center and restaurants.
