About The Tournament Weekend

After many years of seeking soccer fields in wine tasting locations, Soccer Resort is proud to unveil our third annual 8v8 Soccer Resort Sonoma Cup.

Play on the brand new synthetic turf pitches at Trione Fields at Schopflin Park in Santa Rosa, enjoy the summer in Northern California, and partake in our pre-tournament wine-tasting party on Friday afternoon, and our post tournament wine revelry after the tournament on Saturday.

Winning teams get wine prizes, and all teams get access to our post tournament wine party. We'll also have plenty of special offers for the travel teams to sample some of Sonoma's finest vinyards.

The Soccer Resort is extremely excited to have local teams join our national series of tournaments. Play, yell, compete, or shake hands against teams from all over the U.S., Canada, Europe, and overseas – after-all it’s nice to play against some new teams.

And if you win a top or consolation division, you’ll win up to $1000 of credit towards one of our travel tournaments, such as Las Vegas, Costa Rica, Miami South Beach, Hawaii, Iceland, Ireland, or London.

Soccer Tournament Details

This will be our Third annual event, at North American's first wine and soccer weekend.

You'll play on the brand new synthetic turf pitches at  Trione Fields at Schopflin Park in Santa Rosa. On the soccer side you get:

• Four games guaranteed
• 30 minutes per game
• 8v8, 14 player roster
• Soccer travel prizes galore
• Trophies for the winners and medals for the runners-up

• There will be two Coed divisions with 4 men and 4 women on the field. You can have more women, but not more men.
• There will be four Men’s divisions – Men’s OPEN, Men’s B, Men’s Over 30’s, Men's Over 40's 
• There will be multiple Women’s divisions – Women’s A, Women’s B, Women's C Women's Over 30's and Women’s Over 40’s.
• The fields are in Santa Rosa.

Tournament Prizes

Soccer Resort is not only a vacation weekend - but winners, and runners-up in the top divisions and lower level consolation cups always get Soccer Resort Bucks as a prize. This is not  actual money, but more like a credit or a discount on hotel and tournament packages for your next Travel  tournament. We don’t pretend it's like winning the lottery, but many of our teams appreciate that we are making further trips cheaper.
